Neither Emma nor Patrick expected to have any feelings for each other, especially as Emma was engaged to another man. They entered the elevator arguing about how unsuitable Patrick is yet ended up engaged in a passionate kiss. The kiss forces Emma to acknowledge her feelings and decide whom she wanted to be with. Must have been some kiss!

Sometimes it’s not the kiss that makes the elevator scene memorable, it’s the relationship building. In the Elevator Girl, Liberty and Jonathan are two strangers from different worlds who get stuck in an elevator together. A Cinderella story of sorts. Their kiss comes at the end of the movie when they reconcile in the elevator accepting that their differences make them the perfect fit.
Grey's Anatomy
Had to give a quick shout-out to the TV show Grey’s Anatomy who is the Queen of elevator kiss scenes. Most loved is the final kiss between Jackson and April in season 18 which showed viewers that they had gotten back together after leaving the show. A fist pump moment for Japril fans!
